I feel like I ought to understand the reference to Hyde and Kelso but I don't. I have no idea who Donna and Jackie are either, so I've guessed. Because you can't pass a poll by without voting. That would just be rude.

You could abstain any time! They're characters from That 70s Show, which I was watching as I created the poll.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! A programme I never watch but quite often have caught a minute or two of, which is why the names were familiar.

And no, I can't abstain. It's kind of a primal urge. Must. Vote! I was most disappointed that I never got the chance to vote Monster Raving Loony. I'd quite like to spoil a ballot in protest at some point, but there's always been someone I'd want to vote for and you can't spoil an LJ poll!

Understood! Well feel free to skip individual questions that suck. :D

You've never seen That 70s Show? I used to love it, although it kind of got awfully lame in its later seasons.

I live an incredibly televisionless life. :)

While it would be absolutely mortifying for my parents to walk in if I were busy with someone, we're also fairly open and forthright about such matters, so in the end the giant killer octopus is still worse... unless I could trap it in a pot of boiling water, oil and paprika, then I'd eat it :P

Well, I left the interpretation up to the reader. One wouldn't necessarily have to be busy with someone. Mwaa ha ha ha. I'm kind of glad though. I was surprised that when I went to bed last night, death by killer octopus was in the lead.

I chose mink over red paint because when I think "mink" I think "adorable little fuzzy critter", not "coat". Just like I'm more likely to think "frolicking in a pasture" than "roadkill" when someone says "deer", or "did you know they're actually really smart and can learn to play Nintendo?" rather than "McNugget" when someone says "chicken". :)

The first 2 were easy. :D

I'll look forward to playing cribbage with you someday! My little brother and I used to play all the time.

Chickens could play Nintendo? That would be awesome.

You'd have to teach me cribbage. I don't get it.

*grins* I had never really seen That 70s Show until last April when hubby and I took a 'staycation' at a hotel in town. While watching he commented that he was rather like Hyde during the 70s- clothing stylewise and all, not the living in someone else's basement pothead part. ;)

Plus his name is Steven too. *laughs*

Oh and cribbage is something I grew up playing...

Oh man, I used to have such a crush on Hyde. Well, either him or his Dead & Floyd shirts, but probably him.

I knew I wasn't the only person who played cribbage. I also thought cute, if mean, animal for mink which is always more fun than a bucket of paint.

I tried to Wiki cribbage after I wrote those questions, but I still couldn't understand.
