I need help finalizing the plans for my WonderSaga. I need someone who actually understands calculus. Does such a person exist? If so, will you please help me?

I haven't heard back from Mark about this. Could you help? If I were to change the soil depth to 1.5 miles, would it change the overall length of the torus? (From 22 miles to something else?) Thanks!

Yes, it would. If the soil depth was an average of 1.5 rather than 1 mile, and keep the 3mile diameter hole, you'd get a length of 18.8 miles N-N.

Woo hoo! Thank you SO much! :) *muah*

I think I'm near ready to buckle down and start writing this thing.

You're welcome :) I'm one of the geeks who LOVE maths (even if this is more trig than calc ;) ), so it's been fun!

Good luck writing.

Ha ha! Well that's good to know, too. I never made it anywhere near a trig class.

Thanks a bunch!

Don't worry, I took both advanced in uni (as well as algebra and geometry) and STILL get them mixed up enough that I even wrote the wrong thing above! It's geometry - not trig.

Well done, Maria! That's the way to show ahavah you really know what you're talking about ;)

That is an easy mistake. I didn't even know what all the stuff in the equations stood for. *blush*

Only geeky people would ;) Yes, I'm a geek and I revel in it! :-D
