1) How are you doing? Sleepy? Are your eyes tired?
Nope! I feel like I've just gotten started, really. I was gone for most of the afternoon, so I've finally settled in for the long-haul portion.
2) What have you finished reading?
Finished Beyond Belief: My Secret Life Inside Scientology and My Harrowing Escape by Jenna Miscavige Hill and The Walking Dead - Something to Fear (Vol 17) by Robert Kirkman.
3) What is your favorite read so far?
I'm a WD fan, but I enjoyed the Scientology book as well. I'd been wanting to read both for a long time - and for different reasons.
4) What about your favorite snacks?
I picked up some pine nut hummus and veggies at the store...but ended up busting into a bag of cheetos instead once I got home. Whoops. Hopefully I'll get some healthy snack time later. I'm just itching to stop wasting time & keep reading!
5) Have you found any new blogs through the readathon? If so, give them some love!
I've tried to start checking in with some (random number generator is telling me who to visit during my brief breaks), but I'll have to explore more closely later. I feel bad about missing such a large chunk of the read-a-thon today, and I keep spending too much time online anyway.
ETA: Hr 13 Mini-Challenge - Best Books of the Year
Best Book of Your Reading Year: Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey. Forever my favorite!
Best Non-Fiction Book of Your Reading Year: Beyond Belief: My Secret Life Inside Scientology and My Harrowing Escape by Jenna Miscavige Hill
Best Sci-Fi Book of Your Reading Year: Dune by Frank Herbert. I just realized this is my only sci-fi book so far this year. I have to change that!
I have not been pleased with most of my books read this year. I'll never have such a crappy reading year again! Especially now that I know there's a read-a-thon twice a year.
