NaNoWriMo is when writers everywhere, novice to published, give so much support & wordcount to the world. NaNo's about shutting one's inner editor up and simply WRITING all month long. People from every nation vow to write at least 50,000 words in November. The camaraderie is such a huge help, too! I get more writing done in November than I do the whole rest of the year combined. I so very highly recommend it, even if you're not a writer. Everyone has a story to tell, and the experience is flat-out fun as well as uplifting.
This is my first year being sole Municipal Liaison for the Missouri: Elsewhere region. I'm both excited and a bit intimidated. I have LOTS of NaNo prep to do, both ML-related stuff and novel-related stuff. I have SWORN to actually finish my long-running NaNo WonderSaga project this year. ←- I've committed publicly! You've seen it! For God's sake, help hold me to it.
So I'll be trying to write every single day. Please join me! Even if you don't want to commit to 50k words in November, if you want writing support, feel free to join my online group and participate in our write-ins. We usually have one Monday evenings and Friday mornings, and I've been trying to hold extras during the day whenever I get an hour or more of writing time. Sometimes early, sometimes late, but rarely in the afternoons (US), since I spend time with Josh after work and sometimes make dinner and whatnot. But if I can swing it after the kids are in bed, I'm right back on.
I'm committed! With the awesome NaNo support so freely given, I thrive. Let me and my buds help you to thrive as well! Please check out NaNoWriMo.org and consider joining us on this great adventure. And if you're in Missouri – let's coordinate some in-person write-ins that you can come to! I'll be holding some in Ironton, Salem, possibly Rolla or Farmington, and at least one in Cape Girardeau. I could do more elsewhere. Since I live too far out with no coffee shops/anything around, I'll be the one doing all the driving, so if you have a preference, let me know during the planning stage (October).
