Whole30 Day 1

3 c. coffee w/Silk unsweetened almond milk. Lemon water throughout the day.

B: Red and Sweet Potato hash, 2 poached eggs, handful of almonds

L: Tuna steak, sauteed zucchini and red onion, half an avocado with sea salt and olive oil

D: Salad – lettuce, red onion, red bell pepper, broccoli, tomato, 2 hardboiled eggs, avocado, lemon juice

Feeling pretty good today. A stupid fight in the house really affected my mood, but otherwise I've felt good. Missing pepsi already and once again hate all the cooking involved, but it just sucks more because we have no water in our kitchen today (water in our bedroom/bathroom, but that's all).

The food part sounds good. How can you cook /clean up without water?

Thanks! It's pretty decent. All the cooking is a hassle. Luckily we still have water in our bedroom/master bath, so I've been filling up giant pots and washing dishes in one and rinsing in the other. Big pain in the butt. I hope it's just another line freeze! We can't afford *another* burst pipe.

Happy New Year!

I pretty much abandoned LJ in 2017 and have decided that while I probably won’t end up posting much I want to at least get back into reading the journals of the few people on my friends list who are still active.

I will be following your Whole30 journey. I keep wanting to give it a go myself but never do.

I hope your water situation is resolved soon. We were without drinkable water 4 or 5 days earlier this year when a utility company accidentally broke the water main to our neighborhood. We had no water at all for about a day and when it came back on we could shower in it but not use it for cooking/drinking/washing dishes until they tested it was clean and it was a pain.

Thank you, and happy new year to you as well! I do hope you'll post every now and then. I do read, and I'll try to get better about commenting.

If you decide to try Whole30, now is a great time to do it! There's always a community-wide January Whole30, so you can get lots of support and encouragement right now.

Being without water sucks. Our hot water just (as I was typing!) came back on in the kitchen, which will be a huge help. Still no cold water though, which means I can't use my washing machine yet. I can't wait til this stuff is resolved. I hate winter.
