Whole30 Day 3

2 c. coffee with almond milk. Lemon water throughout the day.

B: Red and sweet potato hash, one hardboiled egg, handful of green olives. (Actually had two eggs, but I got full and couldn't finish that and some of the potatoes.)

L: Apple (not following the meal template, but I felt so sick...)

D: Tried to eat some chicken soup, but I couldn't stomach it.

Nausea still bothering me all day. Hard to eat. Will be glad when this part's over.

Sorry about the nausea :-( Is that the effect of the detox or completely unrelated?

I'm already doing really bad with my "go to the gym and drink less soda". I put my back out between Christmas and New Years, so don't want to dare make it worse until I get an okay from my doctor (am going to see her later today). But it's early days yet.

Oh no! I hope you feel better swiftly!

I'm pretty sure the nausea is detox. Josh and I have both noticed that I tend to get really nauseated my first few days on Whole30.

Fortunately I got an okay from the doctor right away. She said that basically unless your back is actually broken or out of joint or something similar, you can't make it any worse by training - in fact, you're more likely to do good. I'm donating blood tomorrow which always puts me out of action training wise for a week or so, but after that I'm gonna make sure to get back into the habit again!

I'm glad to hear it! Both that you are okay and what the doc said about injured backs. I tend to do nothing when I've hurt my back, but in the future I will try to suck it up. At any rate, I have faith that you can meet your goals!

Do you remember from past Whole30s how long the nausea lasts? I hope it is over soon.

Thanks! I should maybe go back and reread my Whole30 tags, but I'm pretty sure it only lasts the first few days. And not everyone gets it, so I'm sure it's just my usual reliance on sugar and unhealthy foods. I feel much better today!
