A Moral (I loved this!)

I got this from the SDDLightworkers yahoo group and thought it was too cute:

An old man lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to
spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work.
His only son, who would have helped him, was in
prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and
mentioned his situation:

Dear Son,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't
be able to plant my potato garden this year. I hate to
miss doing the garden, because your mother always
loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be
digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my
troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot
for me, if you weren't in prison.
With Love,
Dad

Shortly, the old man received this telegram: "For
Heaven's sake, Dad, don't dig up the garden!! That's
where I buried the GUNS!!"

At 4 a.m .. the next morning, a dozen FBI agents and
local police officers showed up and dug up the entire
garden without finding any guns. Confused, the old man
wrote another note to his son telling him what
happened, and asked him what to do next.

His son's reply was: "Go ahead and plant your
potatoes, Dad... It's the best I could do for you from
here."

Moral:
NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE
DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART YOU CAN
DO IT.

My pleasure! It was too cute not to pass on.

Ivy's doing a lot better, although she was cranky & sleeping a lot today. I think she's still not feeling well. Eden has caught a stomach bug - which may actually be what Ivy had to begin with, as much as she's been pooping - but Eden's been throwing up for several days. We had family come over the Fourth to see Ivy, and then THEY all caught a stomach bug. :( We're just trying to ride it out and get everyone healthy.

And as soon as that happens, then I can get to the store to find those Magic Erase Markers and see if I can get off the residual sharpie. I think some things may just be decorate for good. :P

Thank you so much! All is getting better, for sure. I'm so happy the dogs found homes, too! Now we have a little extra to feed us on instead of them - lol.

Thanks...i love it, too. It's one of those 'truly me' things. Matter of fact, i have a silly little goal of having a portrait of me taken like this as a gift for my hubby. Of course, the tattoo parts will have to be temporary...i'm still a little too chicken in that realm! :D
